The VLL (Virtual Living Lab) began as a collaboration between the University of Tokyo, Lifestyle by Design research unit, & Significance Systems. Established in 2019, the VLL applies unique Big Data & AI Analysis to narratives in society & culture. The VLL leverages the Earth.ai platform as a unique ‘telescope on our world’ and explores how narratives dynamically shape our cultures, allowing for better policy & decision making across extensive fields.

VLL（バーチャル・リビング・ラボ）は、東京大学の「ライフスタイル・バイ・デザイン」研究ユニットとSignificance Systems社との共同プロジェクトとして始まりました。2019年に設立されたVLLは、社会や文化におけるナラティブ（物語・語り）を対象に、独自のビッグデータおよびAI分析を応用しています。Earth.ai は、「私たちの世界を見つめる独自の望遠鏡」として、ナラティブがいかにして文化を動的に形成していくのかを探求し、幅広い分野においてより良い政策立案と意思決定を可能にします
